Women
Ovarian cancer can only happen to women because men do not have ovaries, but that does not mean that men are not affected by ovarian cancer. Men in a relationship with the patient can potentially deal with stress, financial woes, loss of income, caregiver stress, worry, and other possible issues. The same holds true for women in relationship with the patient. Women patients experience the same things and more. Women with ovarian cancer have to deal with surgery, recovery, chemotherapy, and other treatments, self esteem issues, depression, and many other things.
