Ovarian cancer is cancer of the ovaries. Each year about 20,000 women are diagnosed with this disease in America. 1 in 72 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime with ovarian cancer. Many people do not know about ovarian cancer; but it, like all cancers, can be deadly. Ovarian cancer does not target any specific part of the country, but instead affects all of the United States.
Ovarian cancer and treatment can lead to other problems. If diagnosed one can be worried about caring for family, keeping a job, or continuing daily activities. Also, it is common for patients to be concerned about treatments, medical bills, hospital stays, and side effects.
Ovarian cancer can be very scary for any woman and her family. Like all cancers, ovarian cancer creates a lot of change in a woman's life. It affects your social life by making it grow or become smaller. Cultural life with how you react and respond to cancer, Ovarian cancer affects money in terms of what you had saved or what you did not have.
